Lorraine Delores Mason

Lorraine Delores Mason passed away July 3, 2019 in King, North Carolina.
She was born August 28, 1930 into a large family of Polish imigrants in Detroit, Michigan, living most of her life there and in Toledo, Ohio. She retired to North Carolina and called it home until her death.
In her almost 89 years, she was an accomplished Teacher, Mother, Councelor, Minister and Artist. She touched too many lives to count and will be warmly remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by: 
Her Daughter Janice Hull and her Husband George Hull. Grandchildren, Andrea Hill and her husband Nick Cobb, Mason Halsey and his wife Samantha Halsey, and Tyler Halsey, who preceeded her in death, and his wife Martyna Halsey. Great-grandchildren, Sarah, Ashton, Nicole, Landon, Evelyn, Tyler, Henry and Marigold.
Her Daughter Diana Calwell and her Husband Trey Caldwell. Grandchildren, Jennifer Vaughan and her husband Andy Vaughan, William Caldwell, and Dana Caldwell and her husband Marshall Casey.
Her Nieces, Becky Donnelly-Hitch and Amy Jaward and their families.
A Service to celbrate her life will be held at 1:30 pm, August 10, 2019 at Slate Funeral Home, 132 E. Dalton Rd., King NC. There will be a private gravesite service for the family to follow.
For those attending the service, Lorraine loved bright colors and flowers. Somber tones were not to her taste.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Trellis Supportive Care who provided Lorraine and her family invaluable support and services through the end of Lorraine’s life.
