Rural Hall, NC – Annie Bell Thompson, 76, of Rural Hall passed away with her loving family by her side Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Ms. Thompson was born December 13, 1943 in Newport News VA, to the late Lawrence Alvin and Virginia Jackson Hooper. She was an avid supporter of all Veteran’s; she led a campaign to add flags to the Lewisville downtown area for the Memorial Day holiday.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughters: Donna Branon (Duane Catron), and Tammy Whitt (Butch), her son, Bill Thompson (Nicole), and grandchildren: Christy Halko (Jason), Phillip Clark (Courtney), Brandon Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, David Thompson, and Raoul Whitt (Beverly), and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Slate Funeral Home, King, NC. The funeral will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at 3:30 PM at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery: 7795 Grapevine Rd. Lewisville, NC.
