Audrey Faye (Hauser) Mabe

King, NC – Audrey Faye Hauser Mabe, 87, of King, NC passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House after an extended illness.

Mrs. Mabe was born on August 5, 1933 in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Oscar F. and Edith Moore Hauser.  She had worked at Bassick Sack Corp. Clemmons Discount and Dairi-O. Faye was an avid gardener and created a world of beauty around her. She loved walking and bicycling at Recreation Acres and loved camping with family at the beaches and the Smokey Mountains. She was an avid Gospel Music fan, and even sang in a gospel trio in her earlier years. 

She will always be loved and dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mickey Hauser, and nephew, Timothy Hauser.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of sixty-six years, Dee Lane Mabe; her beloved daughter, Angela Denise Snyder; a grandson, Brad J. Tesh; brothers: Charles Hauser (Marion), and Gary Hauser (Brenda); nieces: Deena Hauser, and Melissa Bell (Matt); nephews: Derrick Hauser (Stephanie), and Michael Hauser (Terri); great nieces: Anna D’Antonion (Jamie) Kirsten Hauser, McKenzie Bell, and Allison Clark; great nephew, Mason Bell; and great-great niece, Avery Clark, and many more extended family which includes the nieces and nephews on the Mabe side of the family, and their children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church of King cemetery with Pastor Glenn Van Meter officiating.
