Avis Spach Obituary

Avis Crater Spach, 95, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Avis was born and raised in Forsyth County. She was a member of the class of ’45 at Clemmons High School. In 1946, she married her true love, Bill Spach, and they enjoyed 69 years together until his death. After retiring from Western Electric, she remained active at her church, preparing Moravian chicken pies, deiner at lovefeasts, and helping in the nursery. She loved little children, flowers, good food, family, and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Gail Moser of King, NC, a brother, Stan Crater of Denver, NC, granddaughter, Melissa Moser Carico (Brian), and grandson, R. Darin Patterson (Tara), along with three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Rose Tara Senior Living and Hospice WellCare for their compassionate care for the past two years.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Hope Moravian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Margaret Norris and Rev. David Merritt officiating.

Memorials may be made to Hope Moravian Church, 2759 Hope Church Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
