"BJ" Billie Jean (Collins) Barlow

Billie Jean “BJ” Collins Barlow passed away in the hospital on June 15, 2024, after a brief illness. Born September 10, 1943, in Lumberton, North Carolina, she lived in various cities, including Wilmington, NC; Richmond, VA; Winston-Salem, NC; and Carolina Beach, NC, before finally settling in King, NC, near her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Barlow Butner, and son-in-law, Jeff Butner of King, NC; sister, Janice Collins of New Milford, CT; grandchildren, Summer Butner of Raeford, NC; and Mason Butner of Greensboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her son, John Barlow; father, James Collins, Jr.; and mother, Sara Croom.

The family will have a private service.  In lieu of flowers or memorials, please give to a friend or loved one in need or to your local animal shelter.
