Bessie Estelle (Joyce) Gordon

Pinnacle – Bessie Estelle Gordon, 89, of Pinnacle passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. 

Mrs. Gordon was born on September 27, 1932, in Surry County, NC to the late Fletcher and Vallie Watson Joyce.  She was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Paul Gordon; her son, Todd, Gordon; her brothers: Bobby Joyce, David Joyce, Carnell Joyce, Jasper Joyce, and Alvin Joyce; and her sister, Vernice Hutchins. 

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter-in-law, Amy Gordon, two sisters-in-law, Lillian Joyce, and Johnnie Sue Hartgrove; a brother-in-law, Buster Gordon; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gordon will lie in state on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 2:00PM until 3:00 PM at Olive Grove Baptist Church.  The funeral will begin at 3:00 PM in the church chapel with Rev. Todd Lusk and Dr. Evelyn Lemons officiating.  The family will receive friends and loved ones following the service in the fellowship hall.
