Bobbie Lee Middleton

Bobbie Lee Middleton, 85, of King, NC, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.  

Mr. Middleton was born on September 15, 1939, in Stokes County, NC, to the late Enoch and Sallie Kiger Middleton. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in King. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Betty Allen Middleton.  Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Bobbie Middleton, Jr. (Brenda) and Michael Middleton (Kerry), and five grandchildren: Zackery Middleton, Maverick Middleton, Mason Middleton, Garrett Middleton, and Kiptyn Middleton.

Bob started his life on the family farm to a loving family.  During his early years, he learned the word of God and developed a hard work ethic and a love of laughter.  He shared those gifts freely with all.  As a young man, he left his job at Reynolds Tobacco to become a full-time builder/realtor.  Closest to his heart was his work with Betty in Fancy Gap and Hillsville, Virginia.  Later in life, he enjoyed his immediate family, but most of all, his five grandsons.  They each brought a smile to his face and a chuckle of laughter to all.   He will be remembered not with a tear but with a great smile and the joy he brought to all he touched. 

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Trinity United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Tammy Lillie and Rev. Duane Coral officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund: 725 W. Dalton Rd. King, NC 27021.
