Bonita Leigh (Lewis) Plummer

Bonita Leigh Lewis Plummer, 74, of Lawsonville, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at her home. 

Ms. Plummer was born on March 28, 1948, in Forsyth County, NC to the late David Jacob Lewis and Eleanor Slate Lewis.  She retired from the US Postal Service, and was the owner of the Lawsonville Sandwich Shop, where she met and made many lifelong friends. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Fred “Jack” Plummer.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Christine Bullins (Vince); her son, Brian Plummer (Donna); her grandchildren: Kristen Switzer (Shane), Haley Stephenson (Evans), Cole Bullins (Ashley), Ally Plummer, and Jackson Plummer; her great grandchildren: Chloe Switzer, and Piper Switzer; her brothers: Alan Lewis (Karen), and Barry Lewis (Valerie), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 12:00PM until 2:00 PM at Slate Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow at Mountain View Baptist Church cemetery: 1042 Mountain View Church Rd. King, NC.
