Carol McAtee Obituary

Carol Ann

McAtee, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and educator whose life was defined by an unwavering work ethic and a boundless capacity for love, passed away at the age of 76.

Carol dedicated her professional life to teaching, specializing in supporting high-needs students. Her patience and dedication in the classroom were a testament to her character, as she championed those who needed it most. Her colleagues and students knew her as someone whose work ethic was second to none, a trait she carried into every facet of her life.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carol’s greatest legacy is the eternal love she held for her family. Regardless of the circumstances, she remained a steadfast pillar of support for her children and grandchildren. In times of hardship, she was known for her grounding presence and her favorite reminder that "this too shall pass," a phrase she used to guide many through their darkest hours.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carrie McAtee, and her brother, Daryl Neve.

She is survived by her children: Jamie McAtee and his wife Olga; Kirk McAtee- her “baby boy”; and Tara McAtee and her partner Frankie. She also leaves behind a legacy through her cherished grandchildren: Brooklynn, Bryant, Breeanna, Deeanna, Anthony, Aleeah, Veranika, Katia, and Baylor Ann.

Carol’s warmth, wisdom, and tireless spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
