Carroll Martin Obituary

King – Carroll Eastham Martin, 82, of King, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Martin was born on March 6, 1939, in Culpeper, VA to the late Carroll Jack Martin and Viola Mae Bailey Plumline.  He was a member of Old Time Baptist Church. He loved football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wayne Martin, and his brother, Allen Hitt.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of sixty years, Mildred Sumner Martin; his son, Carroll Glenn Martin, and wife Carolene; and two grandchildren: Sarah Martin and Rebekah Martin. 

Mr. Martin will lie instate from 12:00 PM until 4:30 PM, Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, August 23, 2021, at the Wilson family Cemetery in Hillsville, VA., with Rev. Tommy Holder officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
