Charles Edwin Hunter

Charles Edwin Hunter, 63, of King, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, with his loving wife and family by his side. Charles fought the good fight.

Charles was born in Birmingham, AL on March 7, 1960, to the late Charles Harris and Doris Duncan Hunter. He was a proud US Army Veteran. Charles attended Korean Baptist Church in Kernersville and worked as a computer specialist in the insurance industry.  Charles liked watching Ice Hockey, especially the Carolina Hurricanes, and he loved playing video games.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, EunJu Hong Hunter; two brothers: David Harris Hunter, and Stephen Duncan Hunter (Sandra); a sister, Peggy Hunter Fernandez (Michael); and his nieces and nephews: Aaron Fernandez, Benjamin Fernandez, and Brooke Fernandez; along with his fur baby, Benji Hunter.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm with Pasto Kim Dae officiating.
