Chris Allen Embler, age 70, of King, NC, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, in his home surrounded by family. He was born in Forsyth County to James Samuel Embler and Mary Frances Trull Embler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Redmon Embler. Chris retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company as a forklift driver for many years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles draped in his favorite attire, Harley Davidson. Fishing, working on cars, fixing things, and spending time with his loved ones were also big priorities in his life. He was a Jack of All Trades, and these interests not only made him feel whole but were a part of his purpose. Chris lived his life to the fullest by radiating honesty and positivity, as well as keeping the ones around him laughing and joyful.
A memorial service will be held at Slate Funeral Home beginning at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026, with Pastor Glenn Van Meter officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 pm.
He is survived by his daughter, Lena Elizabeth Redmon; son, Ronnie Eugene Bowman Jr.; brother, Michael Keith Embler; sister, Frances Martie Oxendine; granddaughter, Arianna Janai Redmon-Miller; and his fur baby, Milo.
Slate Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
