Tobaccoville – Cleo Elizabeth “Tootsie” Spainhour Lineberry, 70, of Tobaccoville, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at her home with her beloved family by her side.
Tootsie was born on October 12, 1950 in Forsyth County to the late Oma and Eller Newsome Spainhour. Tootsie was a furniture manager with Thomasville Furniture where she retired. She attended Tabernacle United Methodist Church, and loved camping, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Tootsie is preceded in death by her husband James Lineberry Sr., a daughter, Tammy Spainhour, sisters Barbara Pinnix and Betty Wall, and brothers Bill Newsome and Junior Spainhour.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Becky Shelton, two sons, James Lineberry Jr. (Meghan), and Wayne Shelton, Jr. (Shannon), fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and two on the way, and a special niece Robin, and a son-in-law, Jason Spainhour.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday February 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm.- 4:00 pm. at the Slate Funeral Home Chapel. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please adhere to mask and social distancing mandates.
