Crystal Michelle (Whitaker) Taylor

Pilot Mtn. – Crystal Michelle Taylor, 49, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at her home.

Crystal was born on April 5, 1974, to the late Luther Dowell Whitaker, and Roberta (Hiatt) Whitaker who survives. Crystal was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially swimming at the river, she also enjoyed reading and drawing.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Roberta Hiatt Whitaker, her children: Aaron Taylor, and Amber Taylor (DJ Wright), her brothers, Jeffery Midkiff, Bradley Whitaker (Tammy), and Michael Whitaker, her grandchildren: Braleigh Taylor and Maggie Taylor, her niece and nephew, Gracie and Jesse Whitaker, and her fur babies: Rosco, Zella, Mali, and Chase.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM with Bishop Kevin Haynie officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.
