Winston-Salem – Cynthia Lucille McHone Reid, 63, of Winston-Salem, NC, gained her Heavenly wings on February 16, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Ms. Reid was born on February 22, 1958, in Guilford County, NC, to the late Edgar and Peggy Hunter McHone.
Left to cherish her memory is her fiancé, Kent Myers; three daughters: Stephanie Newsome (Charles Watson, Jr.), Crystal Reid (Derrick Knowles), Kayla Holston; eight grandchildren: Honesty (Stoney), Devin (Kristen), Faith, Cassidy, Logan, Karissa, Jason, and Jacob; four great grandchildren: Easton, Addy, Oakie, and Asa; one brother, Eddie McHone; five sisters: Teresa Moore, Darlene Shores, Robin Redden, Debbie Mosgrober, and Penny Gabard; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Closer Walk Baptist Church Cemetery, 1058 Capella Rd. King, NC 27021.
