Darrell Lazarus Trivette

King – Darrell Lazarus Trivette, 71, of King, NC passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his home with his beloved family by his side.

Mr. Trivette was born on March 11, 1950, in Elkin, NC to the late William Lee and Minnie Belle Weatherman Trivette.  He proudly served in the US Army, and was retired from R.J. Reynolds. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Dawn Trivette, and a brother, Michael Dean Trivette.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Deborah Faye Spainhour-Trivette; a daughter, Kristie Lynn Trivette; a stepdaughter, Lewana Everhart Bell (Stacy); a stepson, Stephen J. Everhart (Shanna); a sister, Mary Ellen Trivette; a brother, William Lee Trivette, Jr. (Ramona); three sisters-in-law, Judy Trivette, Rachel Hicks, and Nancy Spainhour; a brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Judy Spainhour; four step grand children: Haleigh, Kendal “Knucklehead”, Aiden, and Collin; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home in King. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 21, 2022, at Mountain View Baptist Church, 1042 Mountainview Church Rd. King, NC 27021, with Rev. Todd Caudle officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
