Dee Laine Mabe

King – Dee Laine Mabe, 87, of King, NC passed away at his home Sunday, January 3, 2021. 

He was born February 21, 1933 to the late Zeb and Elsie Mabe.  He has one beloved deceased brother, Howard F. Mabe.  His wife of sixty-seven years preceded him in death on November 12, 2020.  He has one daughter Angela M. Snyder and one Grandson, Brad J. Tesh.

He grew up on a farm and worked the tobacco fields.  He served in the US Army, then married and began working at Western Electric until he retired.  After retirement he opened a flea market, he enjoyed the business and the people he met there.  He loved camping, bowling, and coin collecting.  He also enjoyed being involved in politics and assisted at the Senior Center in King.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at First Christian Church with Rev. Oakley Manring officiating.
