Donna Jean (Moore) Agee

Donna Jean Agee, 78, of King, NC passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.

The family will receive friends at the public visitation, which will be held from 4:00pm - 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 24 at the Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.

Born in Beckley, WV on July 9, 1946, Donna was the daughter of the late Dewey Kyle and Edith Arlene Moore and was the widow of the late Richard Agee (deceased August 2021). She was retired from Wake Forest University as a financial aid counselor.

She is survived by her two sons; Russell Scott (daughter Remy) and Richard Agee II (wife Jillian; daughter Harper); and her sister Patty Phoebus (husband Dean).

Mrs. Agee loved spending time with family, especially her sons and granddaughters. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and walking her beloved dog, Charlie.
