Donna Marie Stamper Gearheart, 71, of Tobaccoville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the SECU Hospice Care Center.
Born in 1954, Donna was the daughter of the late Walter Donald Stamper, Sr., and Dollie Aretta Dalton Reid, who survives. She was the widow of the late Barry Cleveland Gearheart and was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter Stamper, Jr.
Donna retired as the medical records director at Village Care of King. She was a loving mother, “Gege,” and “Great Gege” to a large and beloved family. Donna was passionate about antiques, enjoyed her coffee, and took great joy in feeding the deer that visited her yard.
Left to cherish her memory, along with her mother, are her daughters, Crystal Wright (Paul) and Amy Burke (Doug); son, B.J. Gearheart; sisters, Kathy Mathena (Preston), Sharon Borich (Jerry), and Lynne Taylor (Teddy); eleven grandchildren: Tommy Green (Beth), Amanda Price (Goobie), Alysia Price, Alexis Price, Taylor Hurd (Tim), Mercedes Snitzel (Will), Kaylyn Denny (Kaleb), Austin Snitzel (Presley), Madilyn Snitzel, Bayleigh Gebauer (Carl), and Brianna Gearheart; as well as fifteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Gearheart Family Cemetery with Minister Preston Mathena officiating.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
