Donnee Marie Pulliam Fletcher, 87, of Rural Hall, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC, surrounded by her beloved family.
Ms. Fletcher was born in Stokes County, NC, on June 16, 1937, to the late Simeon Lee II and Martha Tuttle Pulliam. She was the widow of the late Clinton Odell Fletcher. She was a homemaker who took great pride in and found joy in caring for her family. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, which she joined on September 1, 1954. Donnee was a humble and kind person with a servant's heart; her calling was to nurture and care for people. She found pleasure in traveling and sightseeing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clinton Fletcher, along with her brothers, Tycho Pulliam, Leo Pulliam, and S.L. Pulliam, and her sisters, Maybell Kiser, Treva Brinkley, Connie Foster, and Nadine Pulliam.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Barry Odell Fletcher and Gerald Lee Fletcher (Teresa Lineback Fletcher); her grandchildren, Katelyn Fletcher and Andrew Fletcher; a niece, Marguerite Duggins; several nephews; and her dog, Brownie II.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Slate Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Fletcher and Pastor Eric Hardman officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC.
