Tobaccoville, NC – Edgar Lee Lockhart, 79, of Tobaccoville, passed away in his home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
Edgar was born on February 22, 1946, in Grundy, VA, to the late Edgar Lockhart and Erslie Watson. Edgar was a Master Plumber who loved his work and owned and operated Plumbing and Mechanical Services Inc. in Forsyth County. He was a veteran who served in the Navy, a former mason, and enjoyed traveling across the country in his RV. He also loved his job.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Faye Lockhart; son Eric Lockhart and daughter-in-law, Windy Lockhart; son Tim Lockhart and stepson, Mark Jessup; brother, C.W. Lockhart; and sister-in-law, Linda Lockhart, as well as his grandchild, Saige McDonald, and great-grandchild, Ryder Ford. As well as several nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Slate Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Ponder officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Slate Funeral Home.
