Edna S. (Smith) Smith

Edna S. Smith, 87 of King, NC passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Village Care of King, surrounded by her loved ones.

Ms. Smith was born in Stokes County, NC on October 9, 1936, to the late Ellis and Mozelle Boyles Smith. She was a member of First Christian Church of King. She loved her family dearly and was an excellent Nana to her own and countless others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Steve, Cleve and Keith Smith; and a daughter Amy Jo Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jeffrey Smith (Pattie), Frankye Jones (David), Rodney Smith (Sherri), Sherry Crews (Phillip), and Jenny Yontz (Duane); ten grandchildren: Lindsay Lane (Jonathan), Abbey Pritchett (Lawrence), Katie Hall (Adam), Kirk Jones, Sarah Foster (Scott), Lucas Smith (Heather), Dillon Robertson (Lindsay), Chase Crews (Kelly), Jessie King, and Cody Crews (Izzie); along with twenty great-grandchildren.

Ms. Smith will lie in state from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at First Chirstian Church of King. The family will receive friends and loved ones in the sanctuary following the interment.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at First Christian Church of King with Minister Glenn Van Meter, Minister Peter Cain, and Minister Max Mason officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones in the sanctuary following the interment.
