Edward Stephen “Woody” Sipek, 71, passed away on August 7, 2024, at his home in Tobaccoville, NC

Born in Long Island, NY he was the son of the late Edward Stephen Sipek, Sr. and the late Dorothy Rausch Sipek. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Priddy, and infant sister, Donna. Mr. Sipek was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, NC, and was a retired purchasing agent and machinist following retirement, he was an associate in the automotive department of Walmart in King, NC

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Julie Bumgarner Sipek; daughters, Courtney Bumgarner, Kelsey Sipek (Jared), Carey Mitchell, and Donna Sipek; and son, Carl “C.J.” Sipek. Also surviving are grandchildren Livi Carter, Lucas Brown, Elijah Mitchell, Hunter Sink, Peyton Brown, Lilly Mitchell, Skylar Sipek, Callianna Butner, and Sophia Butner.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
