Elaine McKnight Martin

Elaine McKnight Martin, 77, of King, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Elaine was the daughter of the late Wiley and Mary Jarrel McKnight. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Wiley Webster, and her niece, Penny Frye.

Elaine loved her Lord, her family, and her Church. She retired as a Senior Teller from BB&T Bank, was a member of Quaker Gap Baptist Church, and was the lead singer of the Sonrise Trio.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 23 years, Ken Martin; her son Gray Webster (Tammie), daughter Traci Martin Royal (Brad); sisters, Frances Brown and Dottie Scott (Donnie); grandchildren; Kaitlyn and Kendall Royal, Lauren Dickerson (Shane) and Taylor Pinkos (Chris), Also surviving are her great-granddaughter; Palmer Kay Dickerson and niece; Shannon Bruce.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2024, at Slate Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Quaker Gap Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Darida officiating. Interment will follow in the Quaker Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
