Eugene "Shorty" Gordon

Eugene “Shorty” Gordon, 86, of Pinnacle, NC passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. 

Mr. Gordon was born on June 20, 1936, in Stokes County, NC to the late Robert Martin and Viola Kiser Gordon.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in King.  He retired from the railroad as a track inspector.  Shorty loved his animals, but truly loved spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Estelle Gordon, his brothers, Elmer, Albert (Tunnie), and Clyde, and his sisters, Ersie, and Frances.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Robin Hardy, his son, Michael Gordon, a sister, Leeila Gordon, two grandchildren, Nathan Hardy and Jessica Thomas, and four great grandchildren: Vivian, Abel, Colton, and Shyla.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Janet and George Hall, and Jane Wilson for all of their care and concern for Shorty.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM at King Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Norman officiating.
