Eva Mae Jeffers Reeves

Eva Mae Reeves, 81 of King, NC passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Reeves was born on August 26, 1941, in Mt. Carmel, IL, to the late Harry and Ruby Carlisle Jeffers.  She was a member of Poplar Springs Christian Church and was a retired Real Estate Broker.  Eva loved being a mother and grandmother and caring for her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 63 ½ years, John Reeves; her daughter, Barbara Prestwood, and husband Robert; two sons, Jeffrey Reeves, and wife Amy, and Eric Reeves; along with her four grandchildren: Brendan Prestwood, Mattie Reeves, Katelyn Reeves, and Samantha Reeves.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Poplar Springs Christian Church, 7120 NC Hwy. 66 S. King, NC.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Poplar Springs Christian Church with minister Griffin Gilstrap, minister Ralph Sproles, and minister Don Wallace officiating.  Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Christian Church: 7120 NC Hwy. 66 S. King, NC 27021, or to First Christian Church, Fairfield: 100 W. Center St., Fairfield, IL, 62837.
