Frances “Gail” Gordon Bumgarner

Frances Gail Bumgarner, 74, of King, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Universal Healthcare of King. 

Ms. Bumgarner was born to the late Loman A. and Frances Lewis Gordon on June 5, 1948, in Wake County, NC. She was a member of First Baptist Church of King.  She was an industrial nurse with Westinghouse and retired as a Registered Nurse from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center/Brenner’s Children’s Hospital NICU, after 20 plus years.

In addition to her parents, Loman, and Frances Gordon, she was preceded in death by her two beloved fur babies, Amos, and Dexter.

Left to cherish her memory are her special cousins: Martha Gordon Fansler (Greg), and James Gordon (Beverly); and her best friend, Amy Groce; along with several other cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home; 132 E. Dalton Rd. King, NC. with visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of King, or to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital NICU.
