Frances Louise (Inman) King

Frances Louise Inman King, 85, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Pruitt Health and Hospice in Elkin, NC.

Ms. King was born on September 1, 1938, in Patrick County, VA, to the late William Lee and Daisy Minnie Pruitt Inman. She was a member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church. She loved to read and sew. She also enjoyed gardening and canning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Gary Kyle King, Sr.; a daughter, Terri Morgan; a son, Gary Kyle King, Jr.; seven brothers and two sisters; one granddaughter, Kayla King; her father-in-law, Manuel King, and Mother-in-law, Lois King. 

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Debra Sumner and husband Steve, Carolyn Hummel, Steven Scott King and wife Rena, David Garrett King and wife JoAnn; two sisters, Ruby Cole and husband Clyde and Diane Lineback; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her three brothers-in-law and their wives: Mke and Cheryl King, Keven and Mary King, and Jeff and Kathy King. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Brown Mountain Baptist Church, 2269 NC Hwy. 66 North Westfield, NC 27053, with Pastor Tracy Collins officiating.
