Gary Paul Campanelli

Mr. Gary Paul Campanelli, 72, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away at his home on November 16, 2025.

He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on June 13, 1953, to the late Paul and Betty Napowanetz Campanelli. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Joan Tomasetti, and his first wife, Jacqueline James Campanelli.

Gary retired from Granite Tactical Vehicles in 2013. Gary had a love of cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed cooking and was known for his pineapple cheesecake, which his family would enjoy every Thanksgiving. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Gary was the best husband, Father, and Papa G.

Mr. Campanelli is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, whom he adored, Avaline (Abby) Kiser Campanelli, daughter, Allison Young, grandson, Connor Young, and Connor's father, Jeff Young, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raeford and Pat Kiser, Ann and Lane Woodall, and Angie and Ronnie Gallimore, his cousin, Christina Russo Schipani, and best friend, Evelyn Mattice, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his furry companion, Lucy.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Slate Funeral Home in King. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ricky Easter officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
