Gary Hicks Obituary

Gary Lynn Hicks, 77, of King, NC, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Universal Healthcare in King.

Mr. Hicks was born on March 23, 1947, in Stokes County, NC, to the late Arthur “Ott” David Hicks and Mary Ruth Priddy Hicks. He was the husband of the late Betty DeLapp Hicks.Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his niece Pamela Hicks.

Surviving are his daughters: Lawana Manning (Stacey), and Jennifer Faw (Patrick); a son, Thad Hicks (Kim); grandchildren: Ethan and Emileigh Faw; a sister, Lisa Motsinger; a brother, Kevin Hicks (Debbie); two nephews, Jeff Carroll, and Martin Hicks; along with his childhood friends, Roger Fulk, and Dexter Carroll.

The family would like to thank Priddy Manor for the care and compassion shown to Gary.

A private graveside service will be held.
