George Luis Romero

George Luis Romero, age 68, of Pinnacle, passed away on November 25, 2020. George was born on November 16, 1952 to Luz Maria Quinones Rivera who survives him. He was employed by the Postal service until his retirement and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam war.

George was a beloved father, husband, and a very proud “Pop Pop”. He was very family oriented and continuously expressed great dedication and love to his family members. George is preceded in death by his brother Juan M. Romero.

 Left to cherish his memory is his wife Maria (Fernandez) Romero, his mother Luz Maria (Quinones) Rivera, his sons Jason Romero (Kelsey Shelton) and Jon D. Romero (Brittany), his brothers Harvey Romero and Jimmy Romero, his grandchildren Olivia Grace Romero, Jace Shelton, Sofia Rose Romero, and his special canine companion named Bruno.

The family would like to express thanks to all of their friends, family, and neighbors that have been with them through this difficult time. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Frank Fernandez.

Mr. Romero will lie in state from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at the Slate Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral mass will be held at 4:00 pm. at Slate Funeral Home with Father Henry Tutawan officiating. Interment will take place at 9:00 am. on Thursday, December 3 at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors.
