Glenn Ronald Pendry

King – Glenn Ronald Pendry, 87, of King, NC passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Rose Tara Senior Living.

Mr. Pendry was born in Davidson County, NC on November 20, 1935, to the late Jim and Irene Corn Pendry. He retired from Sylvester & Cockrum. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, he enjoyed hunting and playing golf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Pendry, and two infant daughters.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Barbara Louise Logan Pendry; his son, Keith Pendry (Gwen), three brothers: Mahlon Pendry, Monroe Pendry (Jackie), and Gene Pendry (Susie), two grandchildren: Kip Pendry, and Amber Schosser (Travis Bennett); five great grandchildren: Alyssa Schosser, Jaxson Bennett, Hannah Schosser, Mya Bennett, and Makaila Schosser; along with a host of step grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a huge “Thank You” to the staff of Rose Tara Senior Living and Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, for their care, compassion, and kindness.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC, with Pastor Kevin Broyhill officiating.
