Gwendolyn Iris (Shouse) McDaniel

Pfafftown – Gwendolyn Iris Shouse McDaniel, 60, of Pfafftown, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2020 at Summerstone Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kernersville, with her loving and devoted husband family by her side.

Gwendolyn was born on November 28, 1960, in Forsyth County, NC to the late Crawford Montgomery and Margaret Lee Lawson Shouse.  She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and was previously employed with Sara Lee and Hanes Brand Inc.  She was a graduate of South Stokes High School and Randolph Community College. Gwen loved to cook and sew

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Phillip C. Shouse.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of thirty-three years, Danny Jay McDaniel; her sons: Don Mark McDaniel and wife Cynthia and Keith Scott McDaniel; a grandson, Lucas McDaniel; and her brother, Jason Shouse and wife Tina.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Slate Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Slate Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Watts officiating.  Interment will be held at 1:30 PM in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery 910 Palmer Ln. Winston-Salem, NC.
