Harold Steven Beane

Harold Steven Beane, 67, of King, NC, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Mr. Beane was born on August 24, 1957, in Surry County, NC, to the late Chester Beane and Juanita Gwyn Beane, who survives. He proudly served in and retired from the US Navy. Following his military career, he worked at Westrock for over 20 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling the country with friends, working on any type of vehicle, watching sports, especially his favorite team, the Pittsburg Steelers, and loving his grandchildren. He was a member of the Freedom Cruiser RC Chapter 143.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Hank Ladd.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Juanita Gwyn Beane, his son, Steven Beane (Bobbi); his daughter, Stefany Beane (Scotty Flippen); his sisters: Toni Hicks (Todd), Kathy Beasley (Ricky), and Pat Ladd; his brothers: Mike Beane, and Dwight Beane; and his grandchildren: Alexis Beane, Gabriel Beane, and Zackery Flippen; along with his dear friends Tammie Stevens, Trinica Shumate (Shannon), and Tessa Chrismon (Jason); and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. John Hylton officiating.
