Harold Dean Browder, 87, of King, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home, with his beloved family by his side.
Mr. Browder was born in Forsyth County, NC, on November 15, 1937, to the late Branscom Fount and Rama Tuttle Browder. He retired from RJ Reynolds, where he was a loyal chief machine mechanic for 32 years. He was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Browder; his children, Dane Harland Browder and Dirk Regan Browder; his daughter-in-law, Angie Browder; and his siblings, Audrey Jean Browder Pegram and Edward Hardin Browder.
He leaves behind a legacy of love as his adoring grandchildren survive him: Mary Jane Hattan (Evan), Christopher Dirk Browder (Rebecca), Kandi Michelle Browder (Reggie), and Brett Harland Browder, along with his daughter-in-law, Terri Browder. His great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Paige Browder, Ella Hattan, and Zinnia Williams, brought him immense joy, along with step-great-grandchildren Sommer Snider and Adrianna Hernandez. Harold also treasured his great-great-grandchildren, Aira Snider and Sage Snider, who brightened his days.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Poplar Springs Church in King. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Minister Ralph Sproles, Pastor Chuck Bower, and Minister Griffin Gilstrap officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
