Jack Elliott Obituary

Jack Lloyd Elliott, Jr., of King, NC, will be lovingly remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering dedication to helping others. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC, leaving a legacy of kindness and warmth.

Born on December 15, 1942, in Forsyth County, NC, Jack was the son of the late Jack Lloyd Elliott, Sr., and Pauline Elliott. His commitment to service extended beyond his community, as he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. A familiar face in Tobaccoville, Jack often enjoyed walking the track, where he connected with friends and neighbors, embodying the very essence of community spirit and friendship.

Jack's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those he loved. He is survived by his son, Paul Elliott; his daughter, Paula Sutton and her husband, Phil; his brother, Lou Elliott and his wife, Pam; his sister, Jacqueline Ramsey; and his beloved grandchildren: Kevin Elliott, Abigail Rehbein and her husband, Mike, Lydia Shanahan and her husband, Joe, Josiah Sutton and his wife, Taylor, and Chloe Sutton. He also left behind a special friend and caregiver, Georgia Blizard; one great-grandchild on the way; his stepmother, Nancy Elliott Frye; as well as several nieces and nephews; and cherished in-laws, Gloria and Vernon Hood, and Reba and Tim Arrington.

Jack was preceded in death by his dear sister, Pat Adkins, and he now joins her, looking down on those who carry his spirit.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion provided during Jack's final days, with special thanks to Jessica, Holly, Justyn, and Amanda, the singing nurse.

A private service to honor Jack will be held, celebrating his life and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. Details of the service will be shared with family and friends in the coming days.
