Jacob Loyd Baker

King – Jacob Loyd Baker, 87, of King, NC passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. 

Mr. Baker was born on August 1, 1934, in Surry County, NC, to the late Golden and Ethel Whitaker Baker.  He was a US Army veteran and was retired from Western Electric.  Mr. Baker was also an avid deer hunter and gardener.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie Mae Cline Baker; a daughter, Kathy Arrowood; and a brother, Wade Baker.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Teresa Noblitt; his son, Derek Baker, and wife Jennifer; and his grandchildren: Annabelle, Hailey, Andrew, Christopher, Diego, Sophia, Amy, Jason, Brad, Wylie and Justin.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Slate Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM, in the Slate Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Pilot Mtn.
