Jacob Dean Marshall

Jacob Dean Marshall, 43, of King, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center, surrounded by his beloved family.

Jacob was born in Forsyth County, NC, on August 1, 1982, to the late Carl Ray Marshall and Dorothy Proveaux Marshall, who survives. Jacob worked in textiles until his health took an unexpected turn, and he was no longer able. He was a good man, a kind, caring, and giving man who loved his family, especially his daughter. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, and nephew. Before he became ill, Jacob enjoyed shooting pool and bass fishing. He was a lifelong WWE fan.

In addition to his father, Carl Marshall, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Travis Marshall.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy Marshall; his beloved daughter, Mandy Marshall; his sister, Nancy Asbury (Jeff); two brothers, Billy Marshall and Joe Marshall (Sherry); his aunt, Donna Hedrick; and his uncle, Palmer Proveaux.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Slate Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Slate Funeral Home with Jeff Walker officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
