James Donald "Donnie" Dunivant

James Donald “Donnie” Dunivant, 87, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. 

Mr. Dunivant was born on June 29, 1935, in Stokes County, NC, to the late Howard Pete and Eva Hartgrove Dunivant.  He was proud veteran of the U.S. Army, was a member of Capella Church of Christ, and was retired from Hanes.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Doris Mitchell Dunivant; his sons: Todd Dunivant (Anne), and Brad Dunivant (Patty); two daughters: Michelle Gastrock (Keith), and Melody Bryant (David); two sisters: Barbara Lawson, and Jane Robertson (Jim); and nine grandchildren: Alec Dunivant, Nick Dunivant, Oliva Thompson (Austin), Kate Dunivant, Kaitlin Southerland (Charlie), Benjamin Gastrock (Kierstan), Kyle Bryant, Sam Bryant, and Joe Bryant.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Capella Church of Christ with Minister Jim Miller officiating.

In lieu of flowers the request memorials be made to either Capella Church of Christ 1187 Flat Shoals Rd. King, NC 27021 or to Surry County EMS 1218 State St Ste 500, Mount Airy, NC 27030
