James "Jim" Robert Inman

Westfield, NC – James “Jim” Robert Inman, 79, of Westfield, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Woltz Hospice Home.

Jim was born on October 29, 1943, to the late William McKinley and Pearl Elizabeth Tilley Inman. He was retired from the US Army, where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant, he served two tours during the Vietnam War. Following his retirement from the military, he drove a cement truck for twenty years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was well known for gifting people he liked with pocket knives.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Marcene Elizabeth Inman, and Rhonda Sue Witherspoon; a sister, Jane Bender; three grandchildren: Dillon Carter, Suzanne Williams, and Spencer Witherspoon; two great-grandchildren: Savannah Williams, and William Bentley Nelson; and his special friend, Nancy Martin.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Brim’s Grove Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gerald Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
