King – Jarrod Andrew Rampey, 36, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021, after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
Jarrod was born August 10, 1984, in Forsyth county to Robert and Gay Schneider Rampey. He was a graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School in Pittsford, NY and Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Saura Valley.
Jarrod loved his family and pets and was a very devoted uncle. He was an avid outdoorsman, and golfer. He was a D-1 pitcher in college; he holds the record for total strikeouts in NY collegiate summer baseball league.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Rebekah Rampey Sammons (Jason); his niece, Kaylee Sammons; his girlfriend, Sally Pak; his fur babies: Waylon and Jackson, Jr (JJ).; and his extended family whom he loved.
Jarrod was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty Schneider; and his paternal grandparents, Dot R. Simmons and Thomas D. Rampey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Slate Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Norman officiating.
