Jerri Ann (Moore) Honaker

Jerri Ann Honaker passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2025, following a short but courageous fight. She answered the Lord's call and went home to be with our Heavenly
Father.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at 4:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service, celebrating her life beginning at 5:00 pm, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Slates Funeral Home in King, NC. Interment will follow at Cornerstone Baptist Church in King, NC.

Jerri was born on May 9, 1946, in Greensboro, NC to the late William Baxter Moore (Doc) and Veatrice Huffman Moore.

Jerri was a loyal wife and devoted mother to her four children. Jerri was happiest when she spent time with her children and grandchildren.

Jerri spent her life supporting her husband's ambitions and together they started a roofing company where she was the Office Administrator.

Jerri believed in helping others in the community and often participated in food drives and community gardens, along with Give a Kid a Coat, and often donated toys for underprivileged children.

Jerri leaves to cherish her legacy of wisdom, giving, and caring to her children, Renee Oglesby and Johnny, Rena Brown and Randy, Selena Honaker and Jerry Honaker, Jr; grandchildren, Johnny Oglesby, Jr., Brittany Lawson and Jamie, Kendra Oglesby, Ashley Seguin and Daniel, Amber Sevy, and Hans, Ezra Honaker, and Aliza Honakerand; great-grandchildren, Khylie, Jordan, Kaylin, Kaiser, Ava, Abel, David and Zechariah, two sisters and two brothers, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family sends a "Special Thank you" to Brother John Winfrey (Uncle John) for his love, kindness, and spiritual guidance throughout Jerri's illness.
