Jerry Blaine Lawson

Mr. Jerry Blaine Lawson, age 70, of King passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jerry was born August 25, 1951 in Tazwell, Virginia to Vernon McKinley and Mary Ellen Profitt Lawson.  He loved to go fishing riding his motorcycle and being outdoors.  Jerry was a family man with his family being his biggest thing especially keeping up with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Larry Lawson, one sister; Vivian McClaugherty, and one grandson; Tatum “Tootie” Dueitt-Arthur.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Wood Lawson of the home, two daughters; Alicia Lawson Arthur and husband Josh of Pensacola, FL, and Helen Traylor of King, two sons; Clifton “CJ” Lawson and fiancé Briana Wasserman of King, Matt Wood and Wife Kate of Sugerhill, GA, thirteen grandchildren; Rose, Anna, Cameron, Alexis, Christian, Charlotte, Shattalon, Scarlett, Cody, Paisley, Amelia, Emma, Silas, five great-grandchildren; Koen, Olivia, Noah, Claire, Jake, four brothers; Daniel Lawson and wife Rose of Dublin, VA, Freddy Lawson and wife Judy of Cleveland, TN, Eddie Lawson of Abingbon, VA, Phil Lawson of Bremen, GA and one brother-in-law Dale McClaugherty of Winston Salem.
