Pinnacle, NC – Joey Daniel Childress, Sr. 40, of Pinnacle, NC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Joey was born on July 11, 1981, in Forsyth County, NC to Raymond and Shirley Adkins Childress. He worked for Pilot Mechanical as a sheet metal fabricator.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Raymond, and Shirley Childress; two sons: Joey Daniel Childress, Jr. and Ethan Childress; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 22, 2021, at Slate Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Holt officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the family.
