Joseph Ronnie Meadows

Joseph Ronald “Ronnie” Meadows, 74, of Rural Hall, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 5, 2023, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC

Born in Forsyth County, NC, he was the son of the late Ralph and Martha Barr Meadows and was preceded in death by his half-sister Brenda Johnson and an infant brother. Mr. Meadows retired from The United States Army with the rank of Warrant Officer III, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC. Ronnie was a most kind gentleman, loving husband and angel to his family and led an exemplary life in public and in private. He loved driving big trucks and tractors and hanging out on the farm.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Dixie Presnell Meadows, two special children; Melinda Gericke (Scott) and Robert Flores (Sandy) a brother; Ralph Leslie “Les” Meadows and sister; Dottie Motley also several grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00- 2:00pm on Thursday September 7, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church a funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the church with Pastor Scott Vernon and Rev. Roger Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with honors rendered by the American Legion Post 290.

Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or to Calvary Baptist Church.
