Joy Lee (Bennett) Boyles

Joy Lee Bennett Boyles, 79, of King, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, with her daughter by her side.

Joy Lee was born in Stokes County, NC, on April 5, 1946, to the late Thomas Austin Bennett Jr. and Martha Virginia Boyles Bennett. Throughout her life, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who could find the humor in everything. She enjoyed being with her loved ones and feeding the various species of wildlife around her home.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ross Boyles.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherron Boyles Capitano; her grandchild, Taylor Capitano; and her sister, Janice Poindexter (Jay).

A private viewing will be held to honor Joy Lee’s life. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
