Katharina (Bachmeier) Baker

Katharina Bachmeier Baker, 90, of Pinnacle, NC, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026.

Mrs. Baker was born in Landshut, Germany, on October 26, 1935, to the late Anton and Paulina Bachmeier. She loved her family and animals, especially dogs; she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She took great pride in raising her beloved family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Baker, her daughter, Neva Martin, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Baker (Joann), Earl Baker (Wanda), John Baker (Laura),  Jimmy  Baker (Arlica), and Adam Baker (Misty), her daughters, Cassie Everhart, and Norma Dugger (Ricky), a sister-in-law, Norma Moore, nieces, Sandra Wood (Marty), and Kathy Foley (Rick), a nephew, Billy Moore (Judy), 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 15 great great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Priddy Manor, Trellis Hospice, and Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center ICCU and Palliative Care for the kind, compassionate care they gave Mrs. Baker during her time with them.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.
