Kathy Gordon Obituary
Kathy Sue Slate Gordon, 71, of King, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Gordon was born on September 19, 1950, in Bassett, VA to the late Robert and Myrtle Slate and was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry Slate and Michael Slate. She was a homemaker and was a very sweet and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Donald Ray Gordon; her two sons, Donnie Ray Gordon (Kathleen) and Harold Franklin Gordon (Jennifer); her daughter Angela Denise Goodson (Scott); her grandchildren: Bryan Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Kara Bondy, Addison Gordon, Ian Gordon, Cole Gordon, Andy Garnett; her great grandchild, Woodynn Bondy; her sisters: Mamie Mabe (Harvey), Virginia Hincher (Donnie), Pat Keaton; and her brothers: Wayne Slate (Nancy), Roger Slate (Linda), Pete Slate (Debbie), Ricky Slate (Mindy), Rocky Slate, and Jeff Slate.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the nursing staff at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center ICU for their loving care.
A service to honor the memory of Mrs. Gordon will be held at 4:00 PM, on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home. Relatives and friends will be received after the service.
