Kathy Bennett (Morton) Lewellyn

Kathy Bennett Morton Lewellyn, 79, of King, NC, passed away January 4 in Dobson, NC at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  She was born in Stokes County, NC.  After the passing of her husband Ronnie in 1977, while raising her children, Kathy attended school and earned her LPN license.  Afterward, she served the community for 33 years, working at Stokes Reynolds Hospital.

She fought a courageous battle with cancer.  She never gave up.

Kathy is survived by her two sons, Wade Morton, and Jason Morton (Jennifer), and  beloved granddaughter Emma, brother, Bruce Bennett, sisters Virginia “Jenny” Smith (Mike), and Shelby Sutton.

She was preceded in death by parents Reade and Lottie Murphy Bennett, husband Ronald Gray Morton, brothers Clyde Bennett, Charles Bennett, Dave Bennett, Lester Bennett, and sisters Sue Bennett Walley, and Annie Bennett.

A small private celebration of life service will be held at a later date to honor her memory.
