Kay Long Tuttle, 83, of King passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021
“MaMa Kay” was born on January 28, 1938 in Stokes County to the late Dewey and Madeline Long. She was a member of King First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Flay Tuttle, on September 13, 2021.
She is survived by her daughter Kim (Craig) Newsome, two sons Vic (Lisa) Tuttle and Tyler (Linda) Tuttle, grandchildren: Jordan Newsome, Justin (Keri) Newsome, Nicholas Tuttle, Cory (Charity) Brown, Ashley (Matt) Cotner, Megan (Evan) Raley, Andrew Tuttle, Eric (Kristina) Hodges, 8 great-grandchildren, two sisters Mary Frances Watts and Barbara Watts, two brothers Wayne (Carol) Long and Jerry (Joanne) Long and numerous nieces and nephews.
“MaMa Kay” loved her family dearly. Her passion was baking cakes and pies from scratch. She always made each family member their favorite on their birthday. She enjoyed reading, painting Santa’s and working in the yard. She loved to wear hats and looked beautiful in them. She courageously battled with health issues over the past several years. She will always be remembered for her generous and loving nature.
A memorial service for Kay and her husband, Marvin, will be held at King First Baptist Church on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
